Let me welcome you and say, "Thank you for your interest." My name is John McBrayer and for over twenty years I have maintained a private law practice in Pelham (just a few miles south of Birmingham, Alabama, in Shelby County, Alabama).

I have also served as a Municipal Judge of the city of Calera, Alabama, for the past eighteen years. (Alabama law allows a part time Municipal Judge to maintain a private law practice.)

I served as an assistant district attorney in the eighteenth judicial circuit and as a bailiff in the criminal court of the eleventh circuit.

I have also served as a president of the Shelby County Bar Association and the Pelham Lions Club.

I currently serve on the Shelby County Family Branch of the YMCA and on the Pediatric Rehabilitation board of directors.

I am a registered Domestic Law Mediator and have been so for over eight years. My experience as a judge, mediator, district attorney, bailiff, and private attorney is a strong asset for my clients.
